A small crew at the bench.
Farstead is a studio on a distant star, a long way down your timeline. We make synths and games for travelers, we build slowly, and we keep the lamps lit for what we've already shipped.
The name
A farstead is a homestead out past the last road. A shop where things get made, mended and sent out into the weather. That's the job.
What we like
Hard problems, made humble. A tool that does one thing well. An instrument that rewards an hour of noodling. A game you can finish in an evening and think about for a week.
Write to the shop
We read everything. Replies take a few days; the shop is small.
